I'm moving away from deviantArt. It wasn't really doing anything for me. I'm cleaning up and I'm done. I'm not sad. I'm not coming back. There are larger things in life, and I need to quit things that take up my precious time, especially things on the internet. How impersonal. Internet is taking away from what life can truly be.

Now I will stop checking up on this site only to find that there are more journals I am not going to read, and more deviations that are beautiful, but really have nothing to give to me. Whoa. Do I sound heartless? You all do beautiful work. But I should be more concerned with my relationship with God, and with what I am doing than with what other people are doing with their lives.

So...goodbye. I hope you have an enjoyable experience here, and that you grow in your art, if it is truly what you want from life. For me, it's not. And so I have no purpose here. And this will give nothing for me to put on my résumé. Life experiences will. Don't get me wrong, I know a place like this can help people grow in their art, where they can then move on to life experiences, but I don't need it.

I am truly excited to be free of this...though I'm not sure why. I guess it just feels refreshing to clean up. Truly, deviantArt took time from me that it didn't need. And now I will have more time to do what is truly worthwhile in life. I don't mean to be insulting to anyone. However, updating my journal and profile page on the internet where I don't know a soul is not exactly my idea of a good (or fun) way to spend time.
